Reliability intelligence
Global machine activity, counted from real records
Every figure is calculated live from recorded platform data. A zero means no qualifying record exists yet, and rates are shown only with a sufficient sample. Nothing on this dashboard is simulated.

Most searched machine categories
Search frequency shows demand for help, never machine failure probability. Observed events, user reports and verified outcomes are counted separately; private equipment records and personal data are never included in public figures.
How MachineDown works
One path from a stopped machine to a running one
- STEP 01
Identify
Tell us the brand, model, code or symptom — or photograph the nameplate and let the platform read it.
- STEP 02
Understand
Get the documented meaning of the fault, the likely causes, what the evidence supports and what is still uncertain.
- STEP 03
Repair
Compare verified technicians, request quotations and book the work. Nothing is promised until a provider confirms.
- STEP 04
Prevent
Save the machine to a free equipment passport and build a service history that makes the next failure faster to fix.

Verified troubleshooting knowledge
Answers with a source, or an honest unknown
Every technical record carries its source, document version, last verified date and safety classification. Where a fault meaning cannot be verified, MachineDown says so rather than inventing one.
Global reach
Set your country
Knowledge is available everywhere. Technician matching is activated market by market, only where verified providers exist — we show coverage honestly instead of listing names we cannot stand behind.
States shown: Available · Limited coverage · Coming soon. Never a guarantee of response time.
For repair professionals
Receive qualified equipment enquiries in your categories and service area, quote transparently, and manage every job from one dashboard. You only pay for opportunities that match your coverage.
- · Free profile with factual verification badges

Manage your equipment
Give every machine a free equipment passport: manuals, warranty dates, service history, maintenance reminders and a printable QR label — across all your locations and team members.
- Printable QR labels per machine
- · Warranty and maintenance reminders
- · Repair cost and downtime history
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers
Do I need an account to use MachineDown?+
No. You can search equipment, read documented fault meanings, run the calculators and submit a repair enquiry without registering. An account is only needed to save machines, track repairs and manage maintenance.
Where does the technical information come from?+
Every fault code and symptom explanation lists its source, document version and last verified date. Where the meaning cannot be verified, MachineDown says so instead of guessing, and shows what is still unknown.
Is it safe to open panels and check things myself?+
Only non-invasive checks are offered: power, water supply, airflow, filters, displayed codes. Anything involving mains voltage, refrigerant circuits, gas, pressure vessels or safety interlocks is marked for a qualified professional.
How does technician matching work?+
Requests are matched by equipment specialisation, supported manufacturers, service location, availability, verification status and past performance. Paid placement is labelled and never overrides suitability or safety.
What if there is no technician in my area yet?+
MachineDown shows the coverage status honestly: available, limited coverage, or coming soon. You still get full troubleshooting help, and you can register to be notified when providers are verified nearby.
Is MachineDown the repair company?+
No. MachineDown is an independent platform that provides technical information and connects customers with independent technicians and service companies. The service contract is between you and the provider.
